How to reach our Athens base

Airport: Athens airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" is located 35 km from Marina Kalamaki.

Express airport Bus:  The bus is line E96 (airport – Piraeus), the bus stop for the Marina is 1st KALAMAKIOU or EDEM depending on the pier (approx. 300–1.000 m from the piers) and the ticket costs approx. 3 € (departs approx. every 20–40 min., internet: www.aia.gr).

Taxi: You can find easily taxis at Athens Airport. The drive costs approximately 35–40 €.

Provisions
Your provisions can be organized by the Cyclades Team (only upon request). Your order will be on board upon your arrival. There are several supermarkets around Marina Kalamaki.

Parking Area
Marina Kalamaki has a free parking area.

Bank Transactions
In Paleo Faliro Square (near our base) you can find several banks. Banks are open 08:00 - 13:30 Monday - Friday and they all provide ATMs.

Electricity
The piers in the Marina Kalamaki are equipped with 220 V.

Sightseeing In Athens

The Acropolis Hill is a unique monument which represents the ultimate in architectural and artistic expression of the Ancient Athenian spirit. The Acropolis Museum is open daily from 08:00am - 19:00 pm.

The Parthenon was built between 447 and 432 BC, it's the most characteristic monument of the ancient Greek civilization. It was dedicated to Athena Parthenos, the patron goddess of Athens.

The National Archaeological Museum displays find from all parts of the ancient Greek world. Monday: Closed, Tuesday-Thursday: 08.30-15.00, Friday-Sunday: 08.00-19.00.

The Theatre of Herod Atticus (The Herodion) was erected in 161 BC by the Athenian orator and benefactor whose name it commemorates. It can seat 5,000 spectators but most of tis marble seats, except for those in the front row, are modern restorations. It hosts all the events of the Athens Festivals and as well as concerts and performs throughout the summer.
